Getting started

Gravify turns interaction history from sources you choose into a private relationship map. After WhatsApp connects, available history imports in the background. You can use Relationships and Settings while that work continues.

Importing means Gravify is adding a local, structured copy of available interaction evidence to your Personal Hub. It does not mean that every message WhatsApp has ever held will be available, and it does not send message content to Gravify's hosted account and licence service.

When enough imported history can form an honest map, Gravify can offer First Light. More history may continue to arrive afterward. Learn more in Importing and storage.

Ask the Assistant

Assistant is the first item in the navigation menu. Open Settings → Assistant & agents (or Set up assistant from the chat) to choose how to use it.

Connect Codex or another agent

In the installed Windows app, choose Connect or manage agents → Connect Codex. Gravify writes its own connection entry into your local Codex settings; no URL or token to paste. Restart Codex to load it, then ask it to use Gravify. The connection is configured only on this computer, not on remote Codex hosts. Existing settings and other servers are preserved. Reconnecting updates the Gravify entry; revoke any older credentials you no longer use in the connection list.

For another agent, a browser client, or manual configuration, open Other agents or manual setup:

  1. Choose Connect or manage agents. In Codex, open Settings → MCP servers, add a custom server called Gravify, and choose Streamable HTTP.
  2. Use Copy server URL to fill the URL. Keep Gravify running on the same computer: a cloud agent cannot reach this local address.
  3. Name the connection and choose Allow connection. Use Copy authorization header to add an HTTP header named Authorization in Codex. Save and start a new Codex task. Alternatively, use Copy Codex config.toml entry in your Codex configuration.
  4. Ask Codex to list Gravify's tools and read your recent chats or calendar. You do not need to activate Gravify's built-in model to use an external agent.

The credential is shown once, expires after 30 days, and can be revoked here at any time. Treat copied credentials and configuration as private. A linked agent gets the same tools as the built-in assistant, including personal-context retrieval and proposal editing. Connecting an agent does not approve sending human messages or applying calendar proposals. See Codex MCP instructions.

Activate the built-in assistant

Choose Activate built-in assistant, enter your OpenRouter model ID and API key, then Save configuration. Open Assistant and send a message to verify the provider connection. Saving settings alone does not test the key or model. Provider usage is billed separately; relevant context goes to your chosen AI provider when you chat. The key stays encrypted on your Hub. You can change the model, replace the key, or deactivate and remove it from the same settings page.

When the assistant proposes a calendar change, review the card, adjust the time, or expand the calendar before applying or rejecting it. Calendar proposals currently support timed, non-recurring events.

Connection problems and updates

A Hub error is different from a network failure. After an update, restart Gravify and retry if the Hub could not complete a request. A revoked or expired agent credential needs a new connection; opening the MCP URL in a browser without a credential returns an authentication error and does not test the agent connection.

Gravify checks for new releases when it connects at startup. When an update is available, the Download update shortcut appears in navigation and opens Settings → License & Updates. You can also use Check for updates there at any time, then download and install without visiting the website.
